I found this book to be inspirational. It is about abuse and the effects it has on an entire family. It is an important read. How many times does one think, “how can she stay in that marriage?” I know I have thought the very same thing. It takes a book like this one to help us understand that abuse is both physical and mental. That the grip an abuser possesses over his victim is as powerful as if they were shackled.

But this book is more than the recanting of abuse. It is about the power of forgiveness. Forgiveness towards the abuser(s) and forgiveness of oneself. It is about the ability to earn to love again and in the process learn to love oneself.

“Letting Go into Perfect Love: Discovering the Extraordinary after Abuse” is beautifully written.
